Tired of reading PowerPoint slides or just need the help get through those slides? You can get this done without the need for any external apps or devices. There’s a built-in feature on PowerPoint 360 that does this for you. Using the Speak command, or for commonly known as the Text to Speech(TTS) feature, your presentation software can read the text on your slides and your notes to you.
Naturally, the technology hasn’t caught on to natural language just yet but there’s a chance with the rise of AI that your PowerPoint can do your presentation for you in the future.
For now, you’ll have to put up with the robotic voice that reads your slides to you.
Where to Find the Speech Function?
On your Home bar, look for Dictate on the Voice section. Hit it and it’ll play automatically.
By default, the software will use your default language. You can choose a different language by clicking the gear button and choosing your preferred language from the dropdown.
This function is available across all your Microsoft 360 apps. Give it a try and see how it works.

While your PowerPoint can read your presentation to you, it’s still impossible to get truly creative and customized designs without some human intervention.
